March of Dimes Gives Ohio a "D"

The March of Dimes has released its 11th annual premature birth report card, and Ohio received a grade of “D."

Stacey Stewart, president of the March of Dimes , says some women are at greater risk of having a premature birth than others.  She says many pregnant women are not getting proper care, through no fault of their own.

About 10-percent of births in the U.S. are premature, and Stewart says an effort is underway in Ohio to help the situation. Find out more at marchofdimes.org.
