(Washington, DC) -- Representative Steve Stivers is announcing he will not seek a second term as the head of the campaign arm for House Republicans.
Stivers made his decision public yesterday afternoon only a short time after winning re-election to serve a fifth term for the Ohio 15th congressional district.
Stivers was selected by his fellow Republicans to help try to elect and keep members of the GOP in the House but was not successful as Democrats were able to take back a majority of seats.
The congressman said in his statement he plans to go back to working on policy and helping improve the lives of his constituents.
