The Ross County Sheriff Lavender is still investigating a shooting that sent a local man to the hospital and led to another person being arrested.
Sheriff Lavender reports that shortly after 3am on November 8th, his office was dispatched to Adena Regional Medical Center in reference to 40-year-old Tony Buechner suffering a gunshot wound to the head.
The investigation into this matter found that the shooting occurred in the 100 block of Toad Hollow Road and has led to the arrest of 28-year-old Rickie Hughes. Hughes is charged with Attempted Murder and Felonious Assault.
He is currently in the Ross County Jail under a one-million-dollar bond.
Buechner was flown to Grant Medical Center in Columbus and at last check was in critical condition. No further details are available at this time.
