The two elder women arrested this week in connection with the murders of eight people in Pike County have each pleaded not guilty to charges of attempting to help cover up the murders.
Rita Newcomb and Fredericka Wagner appeared in court on Thursday.
Both Newcomb and Wagner were awarded bond. Wagner's bond is $100,000 with Newcomb's bond set at $50,000. Additionally, both Wagner and Newcomb have been placed under house arrest with electronic monitoring.
Wagner is charged with providing false information to a grand jury in an attempt to cover up the murders while Newcomb is charged with forgery of child custody papers, perjury, and obstruction.
