Chillicothe's Design Review Board has heard about two proposed developments downtown. After hearing a second discussion on the vacant building at 26 through 34 East Water Street, the board denied a demolition permit.
Members said they are required to see a more solid plan for what is promised to be built there in one or two years and not just a temporary filler project like a mini-park. The developers said they would come back next month with said plan.
At the northeast corner of Second and Mulberry streets, different developers proposed a historically-styled mini-mall-like building on the vacant corner.
