Three Killed in I-71 Crash

(24/7 News)  --  Police are identifying the three people killed in a crash on I-71 just north of downtown Columbus Sunday.  

According to ODOT, four cars were involved in the accident which happened on northbound I-71 near 5th Avenue and was so severe it forced the shutdown of the interstate for more than six-hours.  

Officials identified the three killed at the scene as Amal Mohamed, Anisa Abdi Karim, and Gabriel Ried Akomeah while three others were taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital in critical condition.  Authorities say two others suffered lesser injuries and were taken to OSU Wexner Medical Center.
