A two-vehicle crash on U.S. 50 in Ross County claimed the life of a Chillicothe man, Thursday.
According to the Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Cory Cantrill, 24, of Chillicothe, was eastbound along U.S. 50 near Veterans Parkway shortly before 10:00 a.m. Thursday when his 2005 Saturn Ion crossed the center divide and collided with a westbound Dodge minivan operated by Thomas Hettema, 76, of Chillicothe.
Mr. Cantrill was pronounced dead at the scene while Mr. Hettema and a passenger in his vehicle, Rosemary Hettema, 75, of Chillicothe, were transported to Adena Medical Center, where they were later flown by Medflight to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with non-life threatening injuries.
