(24/7 News) -- Thanks to an anonymous donation, Lancaster Park officials are getting set to light up the rock face of Mount Pleasant. There have been plans to light up the 250-foot rise since the 1960s, but funding was never available to complete the project.
Leaders with the Parks and Recreation Department said they recently received a donation of 42-thousand dollars to pay for and install the LED lights plus 20-thousand dollars to fund future maintenance issues.
Once installed this spring, Mount Pleasant will be lit up on Fridays and Saturday nights up to 75-times a year.
