Adena Keeps Pace in SVC Race with Win at Westfall


Adena shot 75% in the first quarter in getting out to an 11-0 start and a 42-17 halftime lead, and handily took down the Mustangs at Westfall Hall of Fame Night, 72-51.


The Warriors shot 24/43 from the field for the game at 56%- which included 7/17 from the three point arc and added 16/25 at the foul line. Another big factor early was Adena turning over the Mustangs 14 times in the first half, scoring on most of them.


Adena had big nights from Zach Fout and Jarrett Garrison, scoring 29 and 23 points respectively. Westfall was led by Trent Hampton and Jay Wyman who had 15 and 14 points respectively. The Mustangs shot 19/45 for 42%- including 9/17 from the arc. They were only 4/10 at the foul line. 


Both teams grabbed 22 rebounds. Westfall committed only 2 second half turnovers after having 14 in the first half. Adena had 10 for the game.


The Warriors improve to (9-1/12-4) and Westfall goes to (3-7/4-13).
