(ONN) -- A man is in custody after allegedly raping an 8-year-old girl, according to the Pike County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office said 38-year-old Travis Martin was arrested in the 2000 block of Lucasville on Thursday.

Martin was on parole according to the sheriff’s office. The sheriff’s office said the girl may have been abused since November 2018.

Martin is charged rape, a first-degree felony, and additional charges are pending. Martin is being held at the Butler County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
