Unioto's Lady Shermans left no doubt that they are the best of the SVC Thursday, running away from Piketon in a 71-27 victory to claim the outright conference title.

Senior post player Jocie Fisher led the attack with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks, while Emily Coleman and Amber Cottrill each added 11 points. 10 Unioto players got into the scoring column for the contest, which saw the Tanks leading at every stop: 19-7, 47-12, 63-12 and 71-27.

The Lady Redstreaks were led by Ally Crothers' 8 points.

Unioto shot 30/52 from the floor for 58%- including 6/15 from the arc. They were also 5/6 from the foul line. Piketon was 10/41 from the floor for only 24%- including 3/12 from the arc. They added 2/3 from the line.

Unioto won the battle of the boards, 26-16 and committed only 9 turnovers. Piketon had 14.

Unioto claims their second straight SVC championship with a (13-0/17-2) record. They will attempt to gain the Gold Basketball when they face Southeastern on February 7th.
