The public has a chance to pay their respects to the three first-responders killed in a medical helicopter crash in Vinton County last week.
A public memorial service has been scheduled to take place in Grove City this Wednesday, February 6th. It begins at 11:00 a.m. at the Grove City Church of the Nazarene, located at 4770 Hoover Road.
Last Tuesday's crash claimed the lives of pilot Jennifer L. Topper, 34, of Sunbury; and flight nurses Bradley J. Haynes, 48, of London, and Rachel L. Cunningham, 33, of Galloway.
Their Survival Flight helicopter had departed from Mount Carmel in Grove City and was on its way to Meigs County to pick up a patient when it went down shortly before 7:00 a.m. in Zaleski State Forest.
The NTSB is investigating the cause of the crash. Officials with the NTSB say it my be sometime before an official cause is announced.
