Chillicothe Mayor Seeks Ways to Find Infrastructure Dollars

While talk continues between the President and Congress concerning hopes for a massive national infrastructure bill, local governments are left to take care of themselves.

-

Chillicothe Mayor Luke Feeney says they simply can't wait on the feds to help, but have to make efforts to come up with ways to pay for needed improvements on their own.

-

On the state level, there has been some talk about an increase in the gas tax.

-

Feeney says roads and bridges are only part of their needs, with stormwater damage also being a big need.

-

He added that he is "hopeful" the federal and state governments can come up with ways to provide infrastructure dollars for local governments.
