Circleville Man Arraigned on Multiple Obscenity Charges

A Circleville man is facing new charges in an obscenity case involving a minor. The Pickaway County Grand Jury handed down a 23-count felony indictment against 26-year-old Christopher Bartholomew, in early February.

The indictment includes 11 counts of 4th-degree pandering obscenity involving a minor, 11 counts of 5th-degree illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, and one 5th degree felony count of importuning.

The indictment stems from the original investigation which began on January 18th of this year following Bartholomew's arrest on an initial charge of criminal child enticement. That charge was over an incident where Bartholomew had allegedly attempted to pick-up a juvenile from school without parental permission.

Bartholomew was arraigned Tuesday morning in Pickaway County Common Pleas Court where he pleaded not guilty to the new charges
