Outages and Damage from Thursday's Storms

Power outages were reported across the state after yesterday's strong winds and severe storms.

Nearly 15-hundred of those were in Clinton County and nearly a thousand were in Pickaway County. More outages were scattered around a dozen counties in southern and eastern Ohio.

A severe storm caused damage at a restaurant in Mount Sterling when part of the building was torn away. The restaurant was open at the time but no injuries were reported.

Employees told Channel 10 Columbus it sounded like a car hitting the building.

The Fayette County Sheriffs Office reported at 11am that all telephone lines remained operational, but they were continuing repair with the phone company and working through electrical problems throughout the building from last night's storm.
