The popular Fish with a Firefighter event returns to Chillicothe's Yoctangee Park this April.

It takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 13th providing kids an opportunity to learn about fishing and meet the men and women who protect our city. It’s brought to you by the ODNR, The IAFF, and The Union Sportsman's Alliance.

It is free to participate with the first 100 kids, ages 2 to 15, to show up getting a free fishing pole courtesy of Pure Fishing. The event wraps up with a picnic style lunch at 12:30 p.m.

Kids must be accompanied by an adult chaperone to participate.
