Lawmakers in Ohio are introducing legislation which would legalize sports betting in the state.
-
According to a release from the Statehouse on Monday, Senate Bill 111 was introduced recently with bipartisan support and would allow people 21-years and older to bet on games inside casinos or online through casino websites.
-
Hearings for the bill have not been scheduled yet, but it could be going up for a vote as soon as this June according to its sponsors.
-
Ohio now joins an estimated 20 other states across the country who are in a similar process of legalizing sports betting.
