The Pickaway County Sheriff has confirmed that 79-year-old Ed Hammond of Circleville died over the weekend from injuries suffered when his pickup truck collided with a semi on U.S. Route 23, March 28th.

Hammond had been transported from the scene to Grant Medical Center, but died from his injuries Sunday. Hammond and two young children were hurt, when their pickup slammed into the semi when the larger truck pulled into the path of the Hammond vehicle.

The twp children who were were passengers of Hammond's were also taken to Grant Medical Center, where they have been in stable condition.
