NWS to Survey Possible Tornado Damage in Clark County

The National Weather Service will survey damage caused Friday morning by severe weather in Clark County.

A tornado warning was issued at 8:35 a.m. Friday morning, and was cancelled about 10 minutes later. Weather spotter video shows what appeared to be a funnel cloud forming near the community of South Vienna. The National Weather Service has yet to confirm a tornado. But, according to WHIO TV 7, damage was reported in several parts of Clark County, where winds were said to be has high as 65 mph.

The station reports that a barn in the 2700 block of South Burnett Road was totally destroyed and that a tree was uprooted, landing on a house in the area of U.S. 40 in South Vienna.
