(24/7 News) -- New data is being released showing the Columbus area is one of the two worst in the state for dog bites to postal workers.

According to the new report released over the weekend, Columbus trails only Cleveland for the most dog attacks on postal workers in 2018.

The Central Ohio post office says 37 employees were attacked by dogs last year which was down from 43 reported attacks in 2017.

In Southern Ohio 141 carriers were attacked in 2018.
