Ross Visitor's Bureau Offering Audio Tours of Historic Downtown Chillicothe

The Ross Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau is rolling out a series of historical-themed audio tours in and around the City of Chillicothe. It's a total of three audio tours, one highlighting the many attractions of Ross County, with the other two focusing on the city's downtown.

The “Welcome to Ross County” audio tour allows listeners to explore the attractions of Ross County such as The Outdoor Drama, Tecumseh, Adena Mansion & Gardens, The Ross County Heritage Center, along with information on The Hopewell Culture National Historical Park and the five area State Parks plus many other locations.

Listeners will be also able to take a stroll through downtown Chillicothe and discover the Architecture of some of the buildings or enjoy the haunted history of several stops along the tour.

The Architecture Tour showcases some of the city's notable buildings including the Carlisle, the Ross County Courthouse, the Poland House, and the Majestic Theatre among others.

The History & Mystery Tour showcases some of the paranormal happenings of several locations which include a Candy Shop, The Crosskeys Tavern, the Odd Fellows Lodge, and the Warner Hotel.

Listeners can select to follow the entire tour or choose specific locations of interest.

These tours are available for free by visiting the Bureau’s website and navigating to the Audio Walking Tours under the “What To Do” section. These tours are compatible with most browsers on smartphones without any special applications required.
