In Fayette County, there's only a single dual-part issue to decide involving local law enforcement.

The Fayette County Commissioners are presenting a levy and bond issue for a new county jail. The construction bond is for $20-million. It would be repaid over a 40-year-period at 1.05 mills.

The levy to operate the new jail is .85 mills. That’s for operating expenses and other criminal justice services.

Highland County isn't holding a primary, but a special election with three local issues to decide.

Issue 1 is a five-year additional tax to the benefit the Bright Local School District. It's for general permanent improvements at a rate not exceeding 3-mills. That's 30-cents for each one hundred dollars of valuation.

Issue 2 is a countywide replacement levy for the Highland County Health Department. That's a five-year 0.5-mills levy which would allow the district to conduct programs in meet its expenses.

Issue 3 is a proposed municipal income tax for the Village of Greenfield. It's a continuation of an existing one-eighth of one-percent levy for the maintenance, operation and repair of Greenfield City Hall, and a stimulus for economic development within the village.

There's no opposition in the races for Hillsboro Mayor, Auditor, Law Director, and Treasurer. The candidates that filed petitions for those offices have been placed on the November General Election Ballot.

In Ross County, it's a Democratic Primary for city leadership in Chillicothe. There’s only one contested race with democrats Brandon Lawson and Jan Nusbaum running for the Second Ward City Council seat.

There’s only one local issue up for vote as well. The Union Scioto Local Schools is hoping for voter approval of a 5-year, 0.5-percent Income Tax Renewal.

In Pickaway County, there's a Republican Primary to decide for the City of Circleville.

Incumbent Mayor Don Mcilroy goes up against city councilman Tom Spring for the republican mayoral nomination.

Elsewhere, voters will choose three of four republican candidates vying for Council-At-Large. Choices in that race are Michelle Blanton, Josh Ford, Katie Logan Hedges and Tom Klitzka.

There will be no local issues appearing for Pickaway County on Tuesday's ballot.

In Pike County, voters decide democratic leadership positions for City Auditor and Waverly Village Council.

Democrats Linda Murphy and Debra Whaley are vying for Auditor.

Voters in Waverly's Ward 3 choose from three candidates, Scott Dailey, Bret Bevens and Kristi Case, for the 3rd Ward City Council seat. There are no local issues to decide.
