The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) on Thursday authorized Hecate Highland Energy, LLC to construct a solar-powered electric generating facility in Highland County.

The Highland Solar Farm will be located in Clay and Whiteoak townships, and will be capable of generating up to 300 Megawatts.

Hecate plans to commence with construction of the facility in the third quarter of 2019 and to commission the facility in the first quarter of 2021.
