Tornadoes Cause Destructive Path in West & Central Ohio

Two tornadoes confirmed in Pickaway County Ohio.One tornado occurred south of Circleville.A second tornado occurred in southeast Pickaway.The survey is ongoing in Hocking County to see if it continued into Hocking County as well.

Damage in Pickaway County was caused by a tornado. Tarlton Road not far from Laurelville saw damage to a home, where the resident suffered minor injuries.

Pickaway County EMA Director Darrin Flick says damage from the 1:00 AM tornado Tuesday, was concentrated in areas along Morris-Salem Road, Tarlton Road, and near U.S. 23 south of Circleville.

Several barns were also destroyed along Tarlton Road, and damage was also reported in Laurelville, where investigators from the National Weather Service will be Tuesday to see if it was in fact a tornado. A couple of semi-trucks and a camper were overturned at the Love's Truck Stop along U.S. Route 23 south of Circleville.

Some of the worst damage in the state was in the areas of Trotwood- near Dayton as well as in Celina, Ohio, where an entire neighborhood was destroyed. One person has been killed from the storm in Celina.

The Ohio Department of Transportation sent snow plows down I-75 to clear the interstate of debris from the tornado near Dayton.
