Resurfacing Set To Begin On Adams, Brown County Routes

A resurfacing project will get under way this month on two separate routes in Adams and Brown counties, with construction scheduled to start the week of June 10.

According to a release from the Ohio Department of Transportation , contractors for ODOT will be paving State Route 136 in Adams County, from its junction with U.S. 52 at Manchester to S.R. 41, and they will also be paving U.S. 52 in Brown County from Mountain Street in Aberdeen to the Adams County line.

Sign installation and preliminary work to include pavement repairs is set to begin next week, and throughout construction on either route, traffic will be maintained in one lane by flaggers when crews are at work.

Brown County Asphalt was awarded a contract for $873,162 to pave U.S. 52 and S.R. 136, and all work is scheduled to be completed in mid-summer.
