Ross County Second Half Property Taxes Due Back July 12th

Ross County Treasurer Steve Neal, Jr. announced that the second half property tax bills have been mailed.

This is the second round of the new laser bills so if you have any questions the treasurer’s office would be happy to answer them. 2nd Half Real estate tax payments are due by Midnight Friday, July 12th.

Taxpayers who receive a separate manufactured home statement should expect to receive their bill in about two weeks. Manufactured home tax payments are due July 31st.

There are many programs that the treasurer’s office offers to make it easier on taxpayers to pay their taxes. The insert included with the bill describes the programs and how to sign up for them. Information on the programs and how to sign up is also located on the treasurer’s website.

The treasurer’s office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday except holidays. The office will also be open until 6:00 p.m. the final week of the real estate tax collection which starts July 8th and ends July 12th. The treasurer’s office is located in the Ross County Courthouse. There is also a night drop box available at the office as well as a drive up drop box located in the service center parking lot, 475 Western Ave. All payments deposited before midnight on the due date will be considered timely. E-check or credit card payments made through the treasurer’s website before midnight will also be on time.
