Chillicothe Hydrant Flushing to Continue Wednesday from High to Plyley's

-

The Chillicothe City Utilities Department reports that its ongoing fire hydrant flushing operation on the city’s north side has concluded.

-

With all hydrants on that side of the city flushed, crews will now move on to hydrants positioned south of Western Avenue, and west of South High Street on Wednesday, June 19th. The flushing will take place from South High all the way to Plyley’s Lane. The work will get underway at 8:00 a.m. and should wrap up around 3:00 p.m. each day.

-

Residents in the affected area may experience a temporary discoloration of their water, which should clear up after running the faucet for a short period of time. No boil advisory is anticipated. If discoloration persists, residents are advised to call the city water office at 740-773-2191.

-

It’s also suggested that residents in the affected area refrain from washing laundry while the flushing is taking place.
