The ten counties approved for federal assistance are Pickaway, Hocking, Greene, Auglaize, Darke, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Muskingum and Perry.

A preliminary damage assessment conducted by both federal and state agencies identified a total 942 homes and buildings in these counties have either been destroyed or significantly damaged during the storms.
