For the first time, the Appalachian Partnership Incorporated (API) and the Appalachian Partnership for Economic Growth (APEG) have come together for their annual meeting in an effort to bring more jobs and better living to southeastern Ohio.

.

Wednesday's meeting was held at Frankfort's "Sunroom at the Brick", where awards were passed out and a regional economic prosperity plan was discussed.

.

John Molinaro, President of APEG says the two groups are "working across the Appalachian counties to try and building economic prosperity through traditional and non-traditional economic development and helping business obtain the financing they need to grow".

.

Mike Jacoby of API sees a turn-around for southeast Ohio, moving forward with "signs" from what is in the current state budget, that more attention is intended for southeastern Ohio. This includes help for the Rural Industrial Park Loan.

.

Counties represented by the two groups include Ross, Pike, Highland, Adams, Scioto, Jackson, Vinton and Hocking counties, among dozens of others.
