(24/7 News) -- A former Logan Elm Schools teacher is on his way to prison for sexually abusing a student.
Daniel Jones has been sentenced to four years behind bars after pleading guilty to three counts of sexual battery. Along with the prison time, the Ohio Department of Education revoked Jones' teaching license, and he will have to register as a sex offender for life.
The victim read a statement in court. she said in part: "I have been bullied and trashed and judged and ridiculed in my hometown for something that was done to me by someone I trusted and thought cared about me."
