OHSAA Delays Decision on Adopting Boys Volleyball

A decision as to whether the Ohio High School Athletic Association will adopt boys volleyball, is being delayed.

.

OHSAA Head Commissioner Jerry Snodgrass has told iHeart Media Sports that the decision will not come in June, as he earlier had hoped it would be decided by now.

.

Snodgrass says he is attempting to get the issue placed on the OHSAA Board of Directors agenda for the month of August, although it has not been scheduled at this time.

.

Boys high school volleyball is currently considered a “club sport”, operated by the Ohio High School Boys Volleyball Coaches Association. In 2019, there were 70 schools that sponsored a boys volleyball club team.
