(24/7 News) -- Ohio drivers are seeing a permanent increase to gasoline prices effective today (7/1/19).

Motorists will see gas prices jump by at least ten-and-a-half cents at the pump. Diesel prices increase by over 19 cents per gallon. Governor DeWine signed the tax increase into law last April.

The new tax is expected to bring in around 865-million dollars a year in funding which will go for highway and bridge improvements.
