New Technology Helps More Adult D.D. Clients Live Independently

The Southern Ohio Council of Governments has presented a grant to more than a dozen area county boards of developmental disabilities, that will help many more adult clients be able to live independently.

Ross Developmental Disabilities I.T. Director George Myers says the "Smart Home" can make this work with various pieces of technology, including a two-way live video with the client and an aide, when that is needed or requested.

A Mobile Smart Home, which displays an example of technology available to assist D.D. clients is being taken around the region for people to see.
