Over 42% of Ross County's population was served by the Ross Good Samaritan Food Pantry last year.

Mike Thompson of Good Samaritan says they can take non-perishable food donations and also cash, which goes even further in helping the community. Thompson explained that cash donations can be stretched further, because they can buy food staples at a discount price that the general public can't access.

The food pantry distributes only food after receipt of an approved referral from a certain member churches, designated county social service agencies or other groups with 501 (c) (3) tax exemptions.

The Ross Good Samaritan Food Pantry is located at 255 North Woodbridge Avenue or call them at (740) 774-6303. Good Sam office hours are 9am-2:45pm on weekdays.
