Columbia Gas of Ohio is set to begin a gas line replacement project in Chillicothe next week.
-
The company says that project will affect around 200 residents and businesses in the neighborhoods in the area of Eastern Avenue. Specifically, that’s Eastern Ave., McArthur St., Lincoln Ave., Stanley St., Charles St., Lillie St. and McKellar St.
-
Contractors with Columbia Gas will work street by street to install new main lines and service lines up to each customer’s home or building.
-
Gas service will not be impacted until it is time for Columbia to connect the costumer to the new gas system at their meter. Interruptions are expected to last around one to two hours for most customers. Residents will receive advance notice ahead of any interruption in service.
-
Gas meters located inside of a home or building will be moved to the outside, and any surface disturbed by the company will be repaired at the company’s expense. This includes sidewalks, driveways, lawns and landscaping.
-
All work and clean up involved with the project is expected to be completed sometime during the winter of 2019.
