Fundraiser Dinner Planned for Historic Octagon House

An August 25th fundraising dinner is planned to help with renovation for the historic Circleville Octagon House.

The Octagon House was built by George Gregg in 1855 and around 1920 was purchased by H.M. Crites.  The Octagon House was given to the Roundtown Conservancy along with the land it rests on at Crites Road, next to the Circleville Super Walmart Store.

Renovations are needed for the Octagon House so that it ultimately can become an architectural teaching center. Sharpnack says he total renovation estimate is more than $700,000..

The “Octagon’s Dinner at the Downs” event will be held at the Hampton Inn next to Scioto Downs. Seating is limited to 50 people and will be catered by PBJ Catering out of Ashville. You will have a choice of Prime Rib ($40) or Chicken Cordon Bleu ($35). Seats must be reserved in advance and can be done through their website or Facebook page.
