Water Main Line Flushing to Begin Next Week in Circleville

-

The Public Utilities Department for the City of Circleville will begin flushing the city’s water main lines next week.

-

The flushing program will begin on Monday, September 9th and will start in the area of High Street and Western Avenue with crews working in a northeastern direction. Once the northern portion is complete, (approximately Hargus Creek north) is complete, the southern portion will then begin in the area of High Street and Western Avenue with crews working in a southeastern direction.

-

Residents can expect the flushing to take approximately two weeks to complete with crews active from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.

-

It is recommended that residents check their water for discoloration once the flushing is done, especially before washing white clothing items. If water does appear cloudy or discolored, simply run the faucet for a short while prior to use.

-

Should you have any problems, questions or concerns, you can contact the Circleville Public Utilities Department at 740-477-8255 between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
