Area girls golf teams were in action Monday in the Division 2 Sectional Tournaments. Westfall won the championship in the West Sectional at Chillicothe Jaycees, while South Point was crowned champ at the East Sectional at Franklin Valley Golf Club.

Westfall's Maddi Shoults was medalist with a 73 at the West Sectional.
Crooksville and Sheridan also qualified for district tournament with second and third place team finishes while individual district qualifiers on a non qualifying team were Emily Lott of Unioto, Brooklynn Tolle from North Adams and Emma Winland of Paint Valley.

The East Sectional Champ at Franklin Valley is South Point, followed by Gallia Academy and Meigs. Individual district qualifiers: Hanna Shrout (Fairland), Alaina Collins (Chesapeake) and Emily Horn (Dawson Bryant)
