The Adena Warriors stayed alive in the SVC title hunt with a (25-22, 25-14, 25-23) win over Westfall, Tuesday at Adena High School. The Mustangs have already clinched a share of the championship, and now need a win at home vs Zane Trace this Thursday or an Adena loss at Huntington, to get the outright crown.
Adena served 10 aces on the night and kept Westfall on their heels defensively with a wide variety of attacks on the front row.

Set #2 saw Adena break away from a 4-4 tie on a 5-0 run for a 9-4 lead. That lead stretched to as much as 19-7, before Westfall went on a 5-0 run to cut it to 19-12. Adena finished on a 6-2 finish for the 25-14 win and a (2-0) match advantage.
The Warriors came out strong in Set #3 with leads of 4-1, 6-2 and 11-5. Westfall cut it to 11-9, before Adena ran it up to 13-9. The Mustangs cut it 13-12. The score was tied 14-14 and 15-15, before Adena took the lead back and never trailed, despite Westfall cutting the lead to 22-21.
