Lucasville Women Injured in Two Vehicle Crash Along SR 32 in Pike County

Two Scioto County women were transported to separate hospitals early Wednesday evening as the result of a two-vehicle collision along State Route 32 in Pike County.

According to the Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Brooklyn Pate, 19, of Lucasville, was attempting to cross State Route 32 from its intersection with State Route 124 at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, when her 2006 Chevy Silverado was struck by a westbound 2004 Ford Explorer, operated by Vicki Blanton, 58, of Lucasville.

Ms. Pate was transported by ground squad to Adena Pike Medical Center for treatment, while Ms. Blanton was airlifted by MedFlight to Cabell Huntington Hospital in West Virginia. Their conditions are currently unknown. A passenger in Ms. Pate’s vehicle, John Clifford, 57, of Waverly, was treated and released at the scene.

The Pike County Sheriff Department, Pike County EMS, and Newton Township Fire Department assisted on scene. The crash remains under investigation.
