(24/7 News) -- Chillicothe area residents are complaining about emissions from the Pixelle paper plant.
Officials with the Ohio EPA's Southeast District say they've gotten four complaints over the past two weeks, this as others are reporting an unknown substance coating the outside of their vehicles.
A local EPA spokesperson says the substance is described as a "grainy, gray substance." He said his office was in contact with the Pixelle facility and that EPA personnel were "actively investigating the matter."
The Ohio EPA has reportedly issued nine notices of violations over the past ten years.
