While the election for Ohio House seats not until 2020, Pickaway County Commissioner Brian Stewart is logging many miles now in his campaign to win nomination for the 78th Ohio House District.

That district covers eastern Pickaway, all of Hocking and Morgan counties, and parts of Fairfield, Athens and Muskingum counties. Representative Ron Hood is being term limited out of that seat following 2020.

Stewart believes job creation in that area can be helped greatly by getting internet and other job creating infrastructure in place. Many of the rural areas of the 78th district still do not have internet.
