Pike Murder Suspect Captured in Ross County

A Pike County murder suspect has been taken into custody in Ross County. Ross County Sheriff George Lavender is reporting that late Wednesday night, information was received that Pike County murder suspect Jon Eric Burggraf was in Ross County. Early Thursday morning, Burggraff was taken into custody in Western Ross County without incident.

Burggraff was transported to the Ross County Jail for processing. He has been considered "armed and dangerous", after being suspect of involvement in the Monday fatal shooting of 39-year-old Charles "Michael" Meadows Junior.

Area agencies who assisted in the man-hunt have been Pickaway and Fayette County Sheriff’s Offices, Ohio Attorney General’s Office (B.C.I.), U.S. Marshal’s Office, State Highway Patrol, U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force, and the Ross County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team.
