The Chillicothe Ross County Public Library is launching a new collection of library items for its patrons. The library system on Thursday announced the launch of its Beyond Books Collection, which offers a variety of musical instruments for patrons to check-out.

The Beyond Books Collection offers an acoustic guitar, a ukulele, an electronic keyboard, practice drum pads, a drum-kit, and other percussive instruments such as a tambourine and bongos. Beginning Monday, December 16th, library patrons will be able to check out these instruments for a period of 28 days with no renewals allowed. They will be able to be reserved at any of the library’s branches.

Patrons are also invited to pair the borrowed instruments with the online library resource, ArtistWorks. It is an instructive musical program that can be downloaded to your personal electronic devices. It’s available via the library’s website: crcpl.org.
