High Winds Blow Through South Central Ohio

High winds created some problems this morning in the region for residents as winds topped 60 miles per hour in some locations. There was one report of a 62 mile per hour wind gust in Fayette County.

Numerous reports of power outages, downed power lines and trees have been common.

The National Weather Service issued a "High Wind Warning" between 4am-7am, Monday. While winds died down after 7am, they are expected to remain between 15-20 miles per hour throughout the day 12/30/19 with gusts of 35 miles per hour.
