(24/7 News) -- The owner of Cristy's Pizza in Lancaster is praising his store manager's actions during a hostage situation at the restaurant over the weekend.
Jeff Craiglow spoke about the attack, which happened on Saturday morning during what was thought to be a robbery and more serious when the suspect held a knife to the manager's throat.
Craiglow said there is no training for that situation or protocol in place, but the manager correctly held the man's attention while employees were able to escape.
The suspect, identified as Troy Kirk, refused to surrender and was shot and killed by police. The Ohio Bureau of Investigation is now in charge of the case.
