The Unioto Shermans stand alone at the top of the SVC Boys Basketball standings after a 56-38 win Friday, getting the job done on both ends of the floor. Unioto shot 68% from the floor and held Adenato 33% shooting for the game.

After a 7-0 start, the Tanks held a 13-10 lead after the first quarter, but then took-off on a 17-3 second quarter run for a 30-13 lead at halftime. At that point, the Warriors were shooting only 22% from the floor in the first half.

Adena only got as close as 49-35 in the fourth quarter, before Unioto closed out the victory.

Unioto had three players in double figures, led by Isaac Little's 14 points, along with Reece Wheeler and Cameron Debord each with 10 points. Nine Shermans scored in the game.

The Warriors were led by Logan Bennett with 16 points and 10 from Preston Sykes.

Unioto shot 23/24 for 68%- including 5/8 from the arc and 5/11 from the foul line. Adena was only 13/40 for 33%- including 5/15 from the arc and 7/14 at the charity stripe.

Adena committed 10 turnovers and Unioto with 8. The Shermans' held a 19-18 rebound edge.

Unioto improves to (5-0/7-2) and Adena dropped to (4-1/6-4). The Warriors travel to Zane Trace Saturday in the WKKJ broadcast game, while the Shermans host Southeastern.
