An Oak Hill man was killed in a single vehicle crash on State Route 279, Tuesday night.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that 40-year-old Joseph M. Boggs was traveling westbound on State Route 279 in a 2011 Ford F-150 when he traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a ditch, fence and a culvert. The vehicle continued striking a utility pole before overturning and coming to rest on its right side.

Boggs was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Jackson County Coroner’s office.
