The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is mulling a proposed road project along State Route 73 in Clinton County.
ODOT reps say the agency wants to construct a roundabout at the intersection of State Route 73 and State Route 380 in an effort to address safety and congestion at that location. Roundabouts are circular intersections where drivers travel counterclockwise around a center island. There are no traffic signals or stop signs. Drivers yield at entry to traffic in the roundabout, then enter the intersection and exit at their desired street.
ODOT will present the preliminary design and schedule for the project during a public open house this Thursday, January 16th. The open house will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Clinton Massie Middle School, located at 2556 Lebanon Road in Clarksville.
No formal presentation is planned for the event but staff from ODOT’s Planning Department will be on hand to present information and answer questions.
