Wilmington Man Arrested for Using Vehicle as a Weapon

A Wilmington man who was wanted on a warrant for a parole violation faces additional charges after a traffic stop in Washington Court House, Thursday night. According to a report from the Washington Court House Police Department, an officer tried to take Joseph W. West, 35, into custody for an active warrant when West allegedly refused to get out of the vehicle, drove away from officers, and used his vehicle to strike a police vehicle while an officer was inside.

West has been charged with felonious assault, failure to comply, carrying a concealed weapon, fictitious plates, display of plates, and APA warrant.
